Rebecca Minkoff has made a name for herself by designing some of the most beautiful purses ever (see: the Morning After bag!), and judging by her spring 2012 New York Fashion Week show, her clothes are just as gorgeous.
Rebecca has become a favorite amongst celebrities including Vanessa Hudgens, Blake Lively and Fashion Week front row attendee Michelle Trachtenberg.
"Her clothes makeup half of my closet,” Michelle told us on the runway. “[Her line] looks beautiful; you can literally walk it off the runway.”
We caught up with the designer backstage before the show where she told us all about this collection filled with bright colors, flowy dresses and rocker-chic blazers.
"What I love about this collection—it’s full of texture, really great color a lot of brights, just happy spring. I really concentrated on color, texture and just a little bit of sexy with an edge."
Yet, with all these sexy, ready-to-wear clothes, no Rebecca Minkoff outfit would be complete without one of her signature bags.
"You’re gonna see a lot of bright colors," Rebecca said of her new collection of purses. "Studded bags, textured bags, a lot of faux snake, faux crocodile elements as well."

"We like to call her the downtown romantic," Rebecca explained. "She wants to be noticed for her style. She never wants to look cookie cutter. She puts her own elements together. She’s confident. She’s a world traveler. She loves love.”
